Whale Watching - Bandon
Whale Watching Spoken Here
Whale Watching Spoken Here is a volunteer gray whale watching program during peak migration times coinciding with winter and spring breaks. Trained volunteers stationed at thirty locations on or near the Oregon Coast provide information and assist spotting whales. Volunteers train at Oregon State University's Hatfield Marine Science Center and other facilities.

California Gray Whale Migration: Gray Whales migrate from the Chukchi and Bearing Seas to Baja each winter. It is in the warm waters of Baja that the female whales give birth, before returning to the Artic again in spring. There are many excellent vantage points for whale watching: Battle Rock, Port Orford Heads and Cape Blanco are the most prominent. Whale counts are held the 3rd week of March and between Christmas and New Years.
