Built in 1930 and bypassed by a modern concrete span in1968 the original bridge spanned Horse Creek in Lane County.
The bridge was removed in 1987.
The City of Cottage Grove used some of the timber to build a small-scale covered bridge in their park.
The remainder of the bridge (featured here) now spans Myrtle Creek near downtown Myrtle Creek.
Prior to removal, this bridge was listed on the National Historic Register.
Take the Myrtle Creek exit from I-5.
Follow Highway 99, the main street through downtown Myrtle Creek.
The bridge is to the west in Mill Site Park.
